A brief summary

The Lean Six Sigma Sponsor training program has been designed to teach Lean Six Sigma fundamentals and its application. Executives and Sponsors, often referred to as Lean Six Sigma Champions, form an important part of a Lean Six Sigma deployment. As projects are executed, the organization will need support from its Executives and Project Sponsors. This course is designed to teach Senior Leaders how to be effective in deploying and supporting Lean Six Sigma within their organizations. We recommend this course to Executives, Business Leaders, Project Sponsors, and Department Leaders.

Stage One Attend the Sponsor training

This session rigorously defines how to select and define appropriate Lean Six Sigma process improvement projects. After completing this course, participants understand the DMAIC methodology and the extent of their personal involvement and the organizational resources required. Participants are taught how to help their teams through each phase of the project, what questions to ask, how to conduct tollgate reviews, and how to overcome typical roadblocks those teams might face, both inside and outside the organization.

This course is taught by highly knowledgeable instructors with years of experience leading Six Sigma projects in multiple and varied industries. The participant enjoys the benefits of an open classroom environment, including open discussions and breakout sessions. Case studies and in-class labs allow the participant to combine and use the tools and skills learned during the course.

Stage Two Sponsor a Lean Six Sigma Project

All training participants are encouraged to identify a real life project to Sponsor before coming to the training session. The training is very hands-on and we apply all the tools being taught in the class to participant's own project.

Stage Three Present your Project to our master trainers

Present your detailed project charter, measurements, analysis and improvement to your trainer in the defined PowerPoint template. Once approved you will awarded with the Yellow Belt certification.

Can I get certified without completing a project ?

Without completing the project, you will get a training completion diploma only. To get Sponsor certification, the participants have to sponsor a real project and guide it through to its competion.

How much time does it take to complete a Sponsor project ?

A Lean Six Sigma project can take as little as 3 months and as long as 12 months to finish. We encourage the participants to Sponsor a Yellow Belt project which typically takes 3 to 6 months to finish.

What is the value to Sponsor certification ?

Sponsor certification (training + Project) is highly valued by the industry as corporations recognize that quality is everybody's responsibility. Having a certification gives you an edge in your career.
